THE BEST VEGAN BEER BATTERED FISH TACOS with Peach salsa
VEGAN BEER BATTERED FISH MAFE WITH BANANA BLOSSOM!
This recipe is one of those that make deep frying so worth it! 🤤 Won’t disappoint, I promise 🙌🏾

INGREDIENTS:
Marinade:
* 1 can Banana blossom in brine /can sub with hearts of palm
* Seaweed crackers, crushed (or nori sheets thinly chopped)
* 1 tbsp garlic powder
* 1/4 cup soy sauce
* 1/4 cup olive oil
* Juice of 1 lime
* 1/2 tbsp paprika
* 1/2 tbsp celery salt
* 1 tbsp pickle brine or capers
* Chopped fresh dill
* Pepper
Batter:
* 3/4 cup flour
* 1/4 cup cornflour / cornstarch
* 2 tsp baking powder
* 1 tsp paprika
* 1 tsp celery salt
* 1 tsp garlic powder
* Pepper
* 1 cup COLD beer / you can sub with sparkling water
Peach salsa:
* 2 yellow peaches, peeled and diced
* 1/4 red onion, thinly diced
* Bunch of coriander, chopped
* Juice of 1 lime
* 1 tbsp olive oil
* Salt & pepper
Tacos:
* Slaw (mix shredded red cabbage, vegan Mayo, spicy sauce, lime juice)
* Avocado slices
* Favourite tortillas
* Lime wedges
* Oil to deep fry (Vegetable or grapeseed)
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Drain and rinse banana blossoms, squeeze with your hands to remove excess liquid, then again with a tea towel to dry
2. Mix marinade ingredients in a small bowl, in a shallow dish add banana blossoms and pour marinade on top, make sure they are well covered, slide in the fridge to marinate for at least 1 hour or overnight
3. Prepare salsa, mix all ingredients in a small bowl, taste and adjust flavours if needed
4. Prepare slaw, mix shredded cabbage with Mayo, spicy sauce and lime juice
5. Prepare the batter, mix all ingredients except the beer in a large bowl, then slowly add the COLD beer while whisking till smooth
6. Heat a pot with enough oil to deep fry into medium-high
7. Add flour to a small bowl, grab a marinated banana blossom, coat with flour, then sumerge into the batter, make sure is well covered, place in the hot oil and deep fry for 2-4min till golden brown, repeat with the rest, depends of the size of your pot you can add 2-3 at the time but do not over-crow as the temperature of the oil will drop
8. Assemble your tacos and enjoy!
